“With This Type of Game, Paris Feels Distant”

21 pm

The “lionesses” looked somewhat lethargic, possibly due to their late arrival in Ulm less than 24 hours before their first match, or perhaps they underestimated their easiest opponent. Their performance in the pre-Olympic tournament showed this lack of urgency…

Ultimately, they secured a victory, defeating their opponent by a margin of five, having previously won against them 41:26 just four months ago at the World Championship, thanks to a solid performance towards the end of the first half.

In the Olympic qualification opener, Montenegrin handball players managed to outplay Paraguay (30:25), but with tonight’s display in the Danube city of Germany, the path to the Olympic rounds in Paris seems daunting.

Decisive matches against much tougher teams from Germany and Slovenia will begin over the weekend.

Only the top two teams will advance to Paris.
