Albanian citizen arrested in Turin on the basis of a warrant issued by Podgorica’s Interpol

Albanian Man Arrested in Turin under Interpol Warrant from Podgorica

An Albanian citizen, identified as AM (42), was apprehended in the Italian city of Turin based on an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol from Podgorica, as announced by the Police Directorate today.

“Following the international arrest warrant from NCB Interpol Podgorica, police officers in Italy have detained Albanian citizen AM (42) in Turin. Montenegro has issued an arrest warrant for AM, who received a ten-month prison sentence from the Basic Court in Nikšić for obstructing an official from executing an official act,” the statement reads.

The Police Directorate further noted that ongoing discussions are taking place between the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro and the Ministry of Justice of Italy concerning AM’s extradition to Montenegro.
