Authorities from the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) have apprehended Montenegrin citizen Marko Pavićević on charges of inflicting serious injuries on a 55-year-old man aboard a train traveling from Novi Sad to Belgrade.

According to their statement, the incident occurred just as the train was arriving at the Novi Beograd railway station, where MP allegedly struck the older man in the head, resulting in serious injuries before fleeing the scene.

He was later located and taken into custody, also facing allegations related to a theft that occurred on March 5, 2025, at the “Delta City” Shopping Center.

The suspect is currently detained under the direction of the Third Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade and is set to be presented to the prosecutor with a formal criminal charge.
