Five Montenegrin Boxers Gear Up for Prestigious Baku Tournament

The junior boxing team from Montenegro is currently training in Budva for the esteemed international event, the “Heydar Aliyev Cup,” set to take place in Baku from May 15 to 20.
Boxers in Budva include: Luka Otašević (under 46 kg), Nikola Raičević (under 48 kg), Strahinja Mrdak (under 50 kg), Andrija Nikitović (under 52 kg), and Matija Roganović (under 80 kg).
Alongside head coach Nikola Ružić, the athletes are also being trained by coaches Sergej Kudravcjov, Boško Drašković, Slavko Mrdak, Petar Marčić, and Stevan Sjekloća.
The “Heydar Aliyev Cup” is a prestigious annual junior boxing tournament held in Azerbaijan’s capital, honoring the former president of the country.
This event gathers young boxers aged 15 and 16 from various nations, providing them with the chance to compete at a high standard and gain valuable international experience.
