The Democratic People’s Party (DNP) will not endorse the agreements signed by the Government with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) until all related issues are clarified.
This statement was made by DNP MP Vladislav Bojović following discussions with Prime Minister Milojko Spajić on the matter.
Bojović refrained from disclosing the specific aspects of the agreement causing concerns but emphasized their desire to avoid any projects that could hinder Montenegro’s European trajectory.
“During our meeting with the Prime Minister, we raised several concerns and reservations about the proposed investment. Our position will depend on how these issues are addressed,” Bojović stated.
He also mentioned that in their recent party presidency meeting, they decided that DNP leader Milan Knežević would send a letter to European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, requesting confirmation that the agreements and future contracts align with European standards and laws.
“We aim to ensure that no problematic projects undermine Montenegro’s European aspirations,” he stressed, noting that their concerns align with those expressed by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission (EC) Kaja Kalas.
Bojović reiterated that the DNP supports all investments that enhance the investment landscape, lower unemployment rates, and contribute to GDP growth…
