The President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, has declared his upcoming visit to the Western Balkans scheduled for May.
During a speech at the Center for European Policies, he emphasized the EU’s commitment to expanding its influence in the Western Balkans, Ukraine, and Moldova.
Costa highlighted that such enlargement serves as the European Union’s most significant geopolitical investment.
“This is why I visited Ukraine twice in the past four months. It’s also why I was in Moldova in early March, and later this year, we are set to hold a bilateral summit. Furthermore, the first summit I chaired was focused on the Western Balkans, a region I plan to visit in May,” stated the speech published on the European Commission’s website.
