The Dubai Basketball Club is set to participate in the Euroleague next season and aims for more than just a minor presence, especially given the prominent names linked to their signings.
Speculation has long suggested that the ambitious project may include players with NBA backgrounds, such as Dario Šarić from the Denver Nuggets or Dženan Muse, a standout from Real Madrid who previously spent two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. Recently, basketball insiders have hinted that a player from Buducnost Voli could also be relocating to the United Arab Emirates at the season’s conclusion.
This player is Kenan Kamenjaš, a formidable force from Bosnia and Herzegovina who has made a significant impact on the Podgorica team.
According to reports, “The next signing in the works is Kamenjaš. The center has been impressive for Buducnost this season, averaging 11 points and six rebounds in the Eurocup. He has caught the attention of several teams in the Spanish ACB league, but all signs point to his move to Dubai,” as noted by the Spanish outlet Encestando.
Kamenjaš ranks among the top centers in the Admiralbet ABA League, this season averaging 13.5 points and 9.4 rebounds.
He also shone in the Eurocup, helping his team reach the round of 10, while averaging 6.3 points and 4 rebounds.
He has been part of Budućnost Voli since 2022, following impressive performances with SC Derby.
Kamenjaš joined Podgorica in 2021 from the Sarajevo Spurs and is a regular member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
The Dubai team is currently competing in the Admiralbet ABA League this season and has been performing remarkably, sitting third in the standings with three rounds remaining, trailing Buducnost and Partizan while leading over Red Star.
