If their requests go unanswered, the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro (SPUCG) is prepared to take alternative actions, stated the president of SPUCG, Jakov Vukčević.

The organization revealed that they will soon outline specific demands to the authorities, as their long-standing issues remain unaddressed. Key demands include the enactment of a new Law on Higher Education featuring a revised study model, as well as a transitional solution for current students in the system, the establishment of a Law on Student Affairs, the ranking of universities, and various other initiatives that SPUCG has championed over the years.

Vukčević mentioned that the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Andjela Jakšić Stojanović, the Minister of Labor, Naida Nišić, and the Minister of Sports and Youth, Dragoslav Šćekić, were invited to participate in the roundtable titled "From Studies to Work: Reforms, Outcomes and Quality," but all declined to attend.

"In the past 24 hours, we've received notifications of refusals or cancellations from the invited ministerial heads. This marks the second occasion where we have attempted unsuccessfully to convene them to address critical questions vital to the student community. This highlights how seriously they regard the resolution of various issues and how low a priority it appears to be on their agenda," said Vukčević.

He emphasized that they do not wish to be remembered solely on national or international Students' Day, but are seeking resolutions to long-term issues that impact the entire student body.

"We have suggestions and ideas for tackling these persistent problems, and we expect the ministries to finally take more definitive actions in that direction," added the President of SPUCG.
