CAA: Enhancing Professional Skills – Memorandum of Training Signed with JAA TO

Representatives from the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) and the JAA Training Organization (JAA TO) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The CAA states that this agreement, signed yesterday in Amsterdam, holds significant value for enhancing the Agency’s professional capabilities and overall efficiency.

They noted that the memorandum also reflects a commitment to fortifying the regulatory and supervisory functions of the Montenegrin aviation authority, while adopting top-tier standards in this domain, alongside bolstering the safety and security of air traffic.

“The collaboration offers a diverse range of specialized JAA TO training programs focused on critical areas such as safety, security, unmanned aircraft systems, search and rescue, and access to the EASA Virtual Academy. This will provide the ACV with additional development avenues,” the statement reads.

Ivan Šćekić, the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, highlighted that the partnership with JAA TO is crucial for aligning national regulations with European and international standards through renewed cooperation.

“Tailored training programs will greatly enhance the capabilities of the CAA and foster the ongoing professional development of our personnel,” Šćekić remarked following the signing of the agreement.

The agency disclosed that the memorandum, encompassing numerous opportunities, intensified activities, and advantages in one-year training, promotes the sharing of methodologies and experiences between the CAA and JAA TO.

“This agreement symbolizes a mutual dedication to advancing the highest regulatory standards and building the necessary capacity to meet the complex challenges within civil aviation,” stated Paula Vieira de Almeida, Executive Director of JAA TO.

Furthermore, the enhancement of cooperation signifies support for achieving the mission of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), given that JAA TO is an affiliated body of this organization, as mentioned in the statement.
