Ivan Pavićević and Miloš Ražnatović to Officiate at the Paris Olympic Games
The Montenegrin refereeing duo, Ivan Pavićević and Miloš Ražnatović, has been selected to officiate the handball matches at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, as announced by the Handball Association.
This marks a historic moment, as Pavićević and Ražnatović will become the first Montenegrin referees to officiate at the Olympic Games.
According to the announcement, they have earned the trust of the International Handball Federation (IHF) and will join 15 other pairs of referees at this major global sports event.
“For these top Montenegrin referees, who have been part of the elite for several years, this will be their inaugural Olympic Games, where they will oversee tournaments featuring 12 national teams across both competitions,” said the Handball Association.
Their nomination for the Olympic Games highlights a significant milestone in the careers of Pavićević and Ražnatović, who have previously officiated at ten major senior competitions, including five world championships and four European and Asian championships.
At the recent EHF Euro 2024 held in Germany, they officiated the bronze medal match between Sweden and Germany, which also determined qualification for the Olympic Games.
Additionally, the EHF has announced that Pavićević and Ražnatović will officiate the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain on May 2 at “Palau Blaugrana.”
