The first encounter is set for May 9 in Konversan, with the rematch scheduled for three days later at SC “Morača.”

Coach Vlado Šola has already announced the roster of 18 players who will compete for spots in the lineup for this doubleheader.

The majority of the squad consists of players who participated in the recent European Championship in Germany, while Filip Krivokapić and Milorad Bakić may make their A team and official match debuts.

In March, the team played friendly matches against Georgia.

The goalkeepers on the roster include: Nebojša Simić, Nikola Matović, Haris Suljević;

Wings: Miloš Vujović, Aleksandar Bakić, Mirko Radović, Luka Radović;

Pivots: Vuk Lazović, Nemanja Grbović, Miodrag Ćorsović;

Backs: Arsenije Dragašević, Milorad Bakić, Vuko Borozan, Vasilije Kaluđerović, Radojica Čepić, Filip Krivokapić, Branko Vujović, Stefan Čavor.

In their playoff against Italy, Montenegro aims to qualify for the World Championship for the second consecutive time and the third time overall, having previously participated in the 2013 and 2023 championships.
