Montenegrin Cadets Celebrate Their Second Victory
In an exciting match today, the Montenegro cadet handball team triumphed over Tunisia with a score of 20:19 (4:7, 8:8, and 8:4) during the third round of the Mediterranean Championship held in Ankara.
This marks the second victory for the Montenegrin cadets in the tournament, having previously defeated France yesterday.
They faced an initial setback against Kosovo at the beginning of the championship.
The Montenegrin players secured 3.5 out of a possible five points for their win against Tunisia.
Filip Božović was the standout player for the Montenegrin national team, scoring five goals, followed by Miroslav Dragojević with four goals, and both Vuk Lalošević and Mojaš Nikolić contributing three goals each.
On Wednesday, Montenegro will compete in two matches—first against Croatia at 8:00 AM, followed by a match against Iraq at 4:15 PM.
For the team coached by Filip Popović and Draško Mrvaljević, participating in the Mediterranean Championship serves as an excellent preparation for the upcoming European Championship for players under 18, set to take place in Podgorica in August.
