Final Stages of Kindergarten Space Adaptation in Tivat Are Underway
The renovation and adaptation of the “Shopping Center” building in Seljanovo, Tivat, for the “Bambi” kindergarten, is nearing completion, according to the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation.
Minister Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, along with Tivat’s Municipality President Željko Komnenović, State Secretary Dragana Babović, kindergarten director Jelena Perunović-Samardžić, Municipal Assembly President Miljan Marković, Vice President Jovan Brinić, Municipality Manager Ivona Petrović, and Tivat Directorate for Investments Director Vlado Brguljan, recently visited the site.
The project, valued at approximately 450,000 euros, was initiated through a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry and the Municipality, allocating 350,000 euros from the Ministry and 100,000 euros from the Municipality. The contractor for the works is “AG Infoplan.” Additionally, the Municipality invested 92,000 euros for roof replacement.
The ground floor, spanning 306 square meters, has been fully renovated and equipped for the kindergarten’s requirements.
A 160 square meter area on the first floor has also been renovated, with the Municipality contributing around 60,000 euros for these upgrades. Four rooms on this level will serve students from the branch of the “Drago Milović” Primary School in Donja Lastva, where plans for a new school building are forthcoming.
Minister Jakšić Stojanović expressed her satisfaction with the nearing completion of the kindergarten’s renovation.
“Our collaboration with the Municipality of Tivat has been remarkable, allowing us to jointly pursue projects aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure quality. I am confident that we will soon present new initiatives that will benefit both our youngest citizens and the entire Tivat community,” stated the minister.
“The ministry has acknowledged the city’s needs, and together we have embarked on a significant investment cycle to improve working and educational conditions for our children. I want to extend my gratitude to Minister Jakšić Stojanović for her contributions. Seljanovo has transformed from a neglected building into a vibrant space for education. We are also focused on constructing a school in Donja Lastva and other major projects ahead,” commented Komnenović.
Kindergarten director Jelena Perunović Samardžić noted that “the youngest residents of Tivat will soon benefit from the new facility, as their living conditions are being elevated to the level they truly deserve.”
