Abazović: Ready to Embrace a Scenario Like Djindjić’s
Dritan Abazović, the Prime Minister of the Montenegrin government in Technical Mandate, informed the Security Committee that one faction of his diplomats suggested a plot similar to that of the late Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic.
He mentioned that this diplomat claimed such a scheme was in place to create the perception that the fatality was not due to anti-crime efforts, but rather linked to criminal connections.
He stated that Metu implicated the DPS leader and President Mila Djukanovic, along with former Defense Minister Predrag Bošković and the recently ousted Defense Minister Raško Konjević.
Abazović asserted that his government’s battle against cigarette smuggling was exemplary, adding that the incident involving the missing cigarette truck was a “set-up.”
He emphasized that every detail had been uncovered and that the Customs Director, Milosevic, was urged to resign.
– I am prepared to face consequences, even jail time, but that won’t resolve the smuggling issue. An empire has formed due to smuggling, and four individuals lost their lives as a result: Goran Žugić, Beli Pravanicović, Duško Jovanović, and Ivo Pukanić. The total number of victims is even higher, – Abazović remarked.
Regarding Jelena Marash, he indicated that the aim was not only to target Andrija Mandic and Milan Knežević but also himself.
– The entire operation was well orchestrated, yet cosmic justice appears ineffective. True justice only arrived during the elections. A person who consistently undermines others will eventually face justice, and this has reached Brussels, – Abazović commented.
He revealed that he had targeted additional individuals linked to smuggling. According to him, Djukanovic traveled to Pristina post-election to strategize against him, and he informed “those present at the table.”
– If you inquire whether someone from Ura had interactions with an individual from Socta, it was merely an “underlying agreement.” Why? Because that person was a notable representative affiliated with the Commit movement. He conveyed this to me, and it had no ties to cigarette smuggling, – Abazović elaborated.
He also expressed his disappointment regarding the events of September 4 and 5 last year, when he was enthroned by Metropolitan Joaniki, noting that RTCG had broadcast the revelation.
