The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has issued a notification regarding the Agrobudget, announcing a call for support aimed at enhancing the quality of raw milk for this year.
This support is designated for agricultural holdings, which must be registered in the agricultural holdings registry by May 23rd, the deadline for the public call.
The eligible beneficiaries include agricultural holdings involved in milk production that supply registered dairies and cheese factories, as well as those producing dairy products for the market.
Support can be utilized for purchasing equipment that aids in maintaining the hygienic quality of raw milk, including milking equipment, milk cooling systems, stainless steel milk buckets, agents for somatic cell count control, udder disinfectants and hygiene products, and cleaning agents before and after milking.
The maximum allowable investment is set at six thousand euros, with budget support covering up to 50 percent of eligible investment costs for milking equipment, milk buckets, and disinfectants, capped at three thousand euros.
Support for acquiring milk cooling equipment can reach up to 70 percent of the eligible investment amount, or 4,200 euros.
“In addition to the base support amount, producers registered in the organic production register (livestock farming) can obtain an extra ten percent of the eligible investment amount,” states the announcement.
Female applicants can also achieve an additional ten percent support.
The support is provided as a reimbursement of the funds invested, following administrative and on-site inspections after the investment’s completion.
The public call will conclude early if the allocated funds for the measure are exhausted.
The Ministry has additionally announced two more calls: one for support in acquiring purebred breeding animals and another for facilitating adherence to animal welfare standards.
Detailed criteria and conditions for availing support through these public calls, along with application forms, are available on the Ministry’s website.
