The European Judo Championship held at the “Mtel Morača Hall” marked a notable achievement for the Montenegrin national team.
This was the first appearance of our mixed team at the continental championship, where they faced Austria and ended up with a score of 4:1.
Jovana Peković secured a win against Marija Holevart in the over 70 kg category, scoring the golden point for an early lead; however, the remaining four bouts went in favor of the opponent.
Slobodan Vukić subsequently lost to Stefan Heđi in the over 57 kg category, and Aisa Nurković fell to Verna Heiden in the over 73 kg category.
Jahja Nurković was defeated by Samuel Gasner in the 70 kg category.
Nataša Jeftić ultimately lost by submission to Liza Tretnjak in the 70 kg category.
The Judo Federation of Montenegro successfully organized this grand event in Podgorica.
