The Montenegro cadet handball team faced a defeat today against Croatia, finishing with a score of 26:21 (8:7, 10:6, 8:8) in the fourth round of the Mediterranean Championship held in Ankara.
This marks the second loss for the Montenegrin cadets in the championship, following a previous defeat against Kosovo.
They achieved victories over France and Tunisia earlier in the tournament.
Under the coaching of Filip Popović and Draško Mrvaljević, the 2006 and 2007 player generation earned half a point out of a possible five against Croatia.
Vuk Lalošević stood out as the top scorer for Montenegro with nine goals, while teammates Filip Božović and Petar Radoičić each contributed three goals.
Later today, Montenegro will compete again at 16:15, this time against Iraq.
This Mediterranean Championship serves as a valuable experience for the players, preparing them for the European Championship for those under 18, which will take place in Podgorica in August.
