Authorities executed searches at three sites in Nikšić, uncovering weapons, narcotics, and cash suspected to be linked to criminal activities. A 31-year-old man, Nikola Milović, was apprehended.
“Personnel from the Regional Security Center ‘West’ undertook measures to enhance security in the western region, targeting drug abuse and confiscating illegal firearms, ammunition, and explosives. During the searches, they discovered firearms, drugs, and cash.”
“Following a court mandate, officers from the Nikšić Security Department inspected the residence and vehicle of NM (31) from Nikšić, where they located a PVC package containing a white powder that appeared to be cocaine, €1,900 suspected to be derived from illegal activities, alongside an IPO (International Police Organization) identification card,” stated the Police Directorate.
The authorities revealed that, after conducting coordinated actions with the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica, Milović was detained by order of the prosecutor on suspicion of committing the offense of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotic drugs.
“Additionally, personnel from the Nikšić Security Department searched two properties associated with OP (27) from Nikšić, discovering and seizing a Red Flag rifle, a Zastava M57 pistol, and 13 rounds of ammunition.”
The mentioned firearms and ammunition were confiscated since the individual lacked the necessary documentation. The state prosecutor from the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Nikšić has been notified, and a legal assessment of the situation will be made after expert evaluations and the gathering of further details,” the statement concludes.
