The Montenegrin under-16 water polo team triumphed over Italy today, winning 17:16 in a thrilling penalty shootout after finishing regular time tied at 13:13. This victory secured them third place in the Easter tournament held in Budva.

Andrej Durutović was the standout player for Montenegro, netting three goals. Teammates Stefan Roganović, Stefan Vraneš, and Pavle Dabić contributed with two goals each, while Luka Todorović, Stefan Kruta, Marko Milinić, and Danilo Savović each added one.

Montenegro concluded the tournament with a record of three wins and two losses. They faced defeats against Spain and Serbia on the opening day but bounced back with victories over Croatia and the Netherlands yesterday.

Spain ultimately claimed the tournament trophy, finishing with four wins and only one loss.
