Young Water Polo Players Celebrated Across the Netherlands and Croatia
The young Montenegrin water polo team, composed of players aged 16 and under, achieved two victories on the second day of the Easter tournament in Budva.
Under the guidance of coach Nenad Vukanić, the team triumphed against the Netherlands with a score of 12:11 and matched that with another close win over Croatia. As they head into the final day of the competition, they have performed remarkably well.
On the first day, however, the Montenegrin players faced setbacks, losing to Spain 16:12 and narrowly dropping a match to Serbia 15:14 following a lackluster performance in the five-a-side event.
Leading the charge against the Netherlands, Stefan Vraneš scored three goals, with contributions from Stefan Kruta, Luka Todorović, and Danilo Savović, who each netted two goals. Dimitrije Milić, Luka Dragović, and Marko Milinić added one goal each.
In their victory over Croatia, Stefan Roganović was the standout player, scoring three goals. Petar Brnović, Stefan Vraneš, and Stefan Kruta each contributed two, while Marko Milinić, Andrej Durutović, and Luka Todorović scored one goal apiece.
Montenegro is set to face Italy in their final match tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
