Aston Villa has secured their spot as the third semi-finalists in the FA Cup. The “Elves” triumphed convincingly at Deepdale, defeating Preston, the only second-tier team remaining in the quarter-finals of this historic football competition, with a score of 3:0.
Marcus Rashford found the net after an assist from Luka Dinamo in the 58th minute, and just five minutes later, he converted a penalty kick with precision.
A minute thereafter, Montenegrin striker Milutin Osmajić made his entry into the match; however, Unai Emery’s side was in such formidable shape that they didn’t allow Preston an opportunity to mount a comeback.
Osmajić, like his teammates, found it nearly impossible to challenge the world-renowned goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez from Argentina.
The final score was completed by Jacob Ramsey in the 71st minute, once again assisted by Dingo.
This defeat marked Preston’s first loss at Deepdale in 15 games, while Aston Villa extended their winning streak to five matches.
