Primorje Boys Delivered Outstanding Performance at the Opening Tournament of the Montenegrin Championship
This past weekend, the inaugural Montenegrin championship tournament for players born in 2013 and younger took place in Kotor.
Following the first five matches, the top water polo players from Primorje showcased their exceptional skills with perfect performances.
The Kotor team triumphed over Akvatik Verde 20:6 (5:2, 6:1, 6:2, 3:1), Jadran 14:5 (3:0, 2:2, 6:1, 3:2), Budva 13:3 (6:1, 4:0, 1:1, 2:1), Youth 16:11 (4:2, 4:2, 5:3, 3:4), and Future 15:4 (7:0, 2:1, 5:1, 1:2).
Mladost from Bijela suffered only one defeat but secured strong wins against Budva 16:2 (6:0, 5:1, 2:1, 3:0), Akvatik Verde 14:8 (5:1, 6:2, 2:4, 1:1), Budućnost 5:2 (1:0, 1:1, 3:1, 0:0), and Jadran 11:9 (4:0, 3:3, 4:3, 0:3).
Jadran claimed third place with victories over Budućnost 7:5 (2:1, 0:2, 1:0, 4:2), Aquatic Verde 10:4 (3:1, 1:0, 3:2, 3:1), and Budva 13:3 (6:1, 1:0, 4:1, 2:1), despite suffering two defeats, while Budućnost managed to achieve two wins.
Podgorica secured a win against Budva 9:5 (6:0, 1:1, 2:1, 0:3) and also triumphed over Akvatik Verde for fourth place.
Akvatik Verde finished in fifth place after defeating Budva 12:2 (2:1, 5:0, 3:1, 2:0).
The second tournament is set to take place from May 31 to June 2 in Herceg Novi, where the final rankings for this category will be determined by the cumulative points from both tournaments.
