Eight Montenegrin Boxers Compete in Lazarevac Tournament
The Montenegrin boxing team is set to participate with eight members in the prestigious international junior tournament “Greatest Open” in Lazarevac, running from today through Sunday.
Representing Montenegro at the “Kolubara” sports hall are three boxers from Nikšić, two from Budva, and one each from Mornar, Radnički, and Power Boxing.
The athletes include Luka Otašević (up to 46 kilograms, Budva), Nikola Raičević (48, Nikšić), Strahinja Mrdak (50, Budva), Andrija Nikitović (52, Nikšić), Andrija Ćeranić (66, Radnički), Veselin Dedić (70, Power Boxing), Matija Roganović (80, Nikšić), and Nikola Nenezić (over 80 kg, Mornar).
The Montenegrin team will be led by the national boxing team’s head coach, Nikola Ružić, along with coaches Boško Drašković and Slavko Mrdak.
In addition to the competitors from Montenegro and the host nation Serbia, fighters from Greece, Romania, Hungary, Latvia, Slovenia, and Austria will also be partaking in the tournament in Lazarevac.
