The Legal Team representing Montenegrin businessman Duško Knežević and the Atlas Group reported to the Criminal Supplementary President Mila Đukanović on March 14, 2019, a submission that the then special State Prosecutor Milivoje Katnić did not consider at all.
This information was shared by Podgorica news, wherein Djukanović’s defense counsel responded to Duško Knežević while addressing Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović during last night’s TV news segment.
The Legal Team for Duško Knežević and Atlas Group wishes to inform the public regarding the provision of material truth and to bring about a resolution of the criminal charges filed against Milo Đukanović in March 2019.
“In this criminal submission, we provided significant information pertinent to the activities of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office; in the context of these matters, various details concerning Mrs. Mila Đukanović were communicated, which are critical for the further proceedings of the Special Prosecutor’s Office as highlighted during the show by the TV news journalist addressing Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović,” stated the announcement.
According to the findings related to the custody of the account, it is crucial for clarifying the allegations presented in the criminal charges filed by the defense of Duško Knežević with the SDT.
“Regarding these allegations, we have submitted a criminal application today concerning the custodial account of Mila Đukanović, which is currently being handled by a higher court in Podgorica. This clarification will also serve to establish facts related to the ownership of the so-called ‘nobody’s home’ in Podgorica. In the criminal report, we suggested not only an examination of the custody account but also a hearing of defendant Mila Đukanović along with other members of the criminal group, where Duško Knežević would serve as a witness,” the announcement further noted.
In conclusion, the Legal Team of Duško Knežević and Atlas Group expresses their commitment to addressing their criminal charges professionally and lawfully, especially following the recent changes in the leadership of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, as reported.
