Notable Increase in Service Sector Turnover in Montenegro During the Second Quarter
The turnover index in the services sector for the second quarter of this year stands at 38.2 percent compared to the first quarter, according to data from the Montenegrin Statistical Institute, Monstat.
In the second quarter, the turnover index grew by 8.6 percent compared to the same period last year, as reported by the MINA agency.
The traffic index in services within the Wholesale sector, including motor vehicles and motorcycles, shows a 33.5 percent increase in the second quarter compared to the same period last year.
The index for services in transport and storage rose by 4.7 percent compared to the same period last year, while it increased by 45.1 percent compared to the first quarter, according to the statement.
In the accommodation and food services sector, the turnover in the second quarter increased by 14.9 percent relative to the same period last year and was up 105.9 percent compared to the first quarter.
The turnover index for information and communication services in the second quarter saw a rise of 13.4 percent compared to the same period last year, and a 4.7 percent increase compared to the first quarter of this year.
