Several Montenegrin volleyball players played crucial roles in their teams during the championship finals. Danijela Džaković stood out over the weekend, while our middle blockers, Saška Đurović and Katarina Budrak, delivered commendable performances in Portugal and France.

Despite Danijela’s impressive 29 points, her team Mili Avijazija fell short, losing to Murov at home with a score of 3:2. However, her victory over Uneco helped secure a spot for her team in the semi-finals of the Azerbaijan Championship playoffs. In the playoff for the finals, which is best of two wins, she and her teammates will face Azerail.

In the Portuguese championship, Sporting is locked in a fierce battle against Braga in the semi-finals of the playoffs, with the pivotal fifth match set for Thursday. Last week, Sporting clinched a 3:1 victory after being edged out at home in a five-set match. Saška Đurović maintained high performance throughout both games, scoring 10 points each time.

On the other hand, Katarina Budrak also shone against the French champions, Levallois. Her team, Bordeaux, managed only one win in the quarter-final series, triumphing over Paris 3:2 at home. In that match, Katarina racked up an impressive 13 points, while she contributed 10 points in the crucial 3:1 loss.

In the Croatian Super League, after Mladost easily overcame Brda away with a score of 3:1, Simona Petranović’s team is set to compete for the cup against Dinamo. Unfortunately, our national team player did not participate in the playoff semi-final’s second leg.

Teodora Rakočević’s hopes for the finals were dashed when her team from Banja Luka fell to city rivals Borac in the second leg of the semi-finals of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League playoffs. In the last match of the season, our middle blocker tallied five points.

Mina Dragović’s team, Lugoș, claimed fifth place in Romania, securing a 3:2 victory over the Constanta team in their final game of the season, although our volleyball player did not see action on the court.
