Once again demonstrating their superiority, the Buducnost Bemax handball team has proven to be far ahead of their competitors in Montenegro, securing their 18th title since gaining independence.
The team, guided by Bojana Popović, triumphed over Rudar (37:27) in the second match of the SBBet First League finals, having previously won the first match 33:24, thereby maintaining their stronghold in domestic competitions.
Factoring in titles won in Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro, the “blues” have amassed a total of 35 championships.
Nikolina Vukčević emerged as the top scorer for the winning side with seven goals, while Neslihan Čališan and Adriana Kardoso de Castro contributed with fewer goals.
In the opposing team, Igor Marković’s squad saw Nina Ramusović leading with nine goals.
The trophy was handed over to captain Ivona Pavićević by RSCG president, Petar Kapisoda.
As they prepare for an exciting upcoming season after the summer, the Podgorica giant anticipates several new additions to the team, including the returns of Đurđina Jauković, Jelena Despotović, and Nina Bulatović, along with new signings like Valerija Kirdjaševa, Džena Karlson, Aisatu Kujata, and Sakura Kametani…
