Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović visited the Embassy of North Macedonia in Podgorica to sign the Book of Condolences in response to the tragic events that unfolded in Kočani.

He expressed that he was profoundly moved by the news of the tragedy that claimed lives in Kočani, leaving a legacy of sorrow, pain, and void.

“In moments when words fail to convey the magnitude of such a loss, I wish to express my sincerest condolences, both on behalf of the citizens of Montenegro and personally, to the families of the victims, the injured, and all citizens of North Macedonia,” stated Milatović.

He noted that the shared moment of grief resonates with everyone in Montenegro, who feel a deep connection and friendship with the people of North Macedonia, emphasizing that such tragedies leave lasting scars on society.

“We understand that there is a long road to healing ahead of you, but know that you can rely on our genuine and unwavering support. Montenegro stands with you, sharing your sorrow,” Milatović remarked.

He further mentioned that the remembrance of the innocent lives lost should serve as a constant reminder that such tragedies must never recur.

“May their souls find peace, and may their families be granted the comfort and strength needed to move forward,” he added.
