Women’s handball in Montenegro remains consistent, with this year’s edition showcasing an intriguing young opponent coached by Igor Marković…
Budućnost Bemax secured their 18th Cup title since gaining independence and marked their 17th double crown, triumphing over Rudar with a score of 34:22 in the final.
The same teams recently faced off in the final of the SBBet First League, where the “blues” also dominated, clinching the title with two decisive wins.
The Pljevlja club, a satellite of Budućnost, held their ground in the Cup final at the “Bemax Arena” until midway through the first half, but Budućnost accelerated their performance, leading 17:10 at halftime…
Armel Atingre, the goalkeeper from Podgorica, delivered an outstanding performance with 17 saves, while Andrijana Popović and Neslihan Čališan shone as the top scorers for the winning team, each netting five goals.
On the other side, Anđela Milošević was notable with seven goals for Rudar, and Marija Marsenić contributed with 10 crucial saves.
Including their successes in Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro, this victory adds up to Budućnost’s 29th Cup trophy.
