The situation in the soil of the Western Balkans remains unstable, and thus the European Union (EU) is essential for everyone involved, stated Ervin Ibrahimović, leader of the Bosniak Party (BS), Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Deputy Prime Minister.

As the host, Ervin Ibrahimović inaugurated the conference titled “EPP as a Driver of EU Enlargement to the Western Balkans,” as announced by BS.

During his address, Ibrahimović welcomed all attendees and expressed gratitude to the participants for their presence, emphasizing their friendship with Montenegro.

BS highlighted that Ibrahimović reiterated his appreciation for all partners aiding Montenegro’s EU integration, underscoring the need for collaboration on this crucial strategic initiative.

He remarked that Montenegro still faces considerable tasks on its EU accession journey but noted the realistic possibility of joining the EU by 2028, especially given the recent accomplishments on this path.

“In this context, our strategic goal’s evidence is our NATO membership,” Ibrahimović stated.

“On the first day of the study visit and conference ‘EPP as a Driver of EU Enlargement to the Western Balkans,’ a panel discussion took place, allowing panelists to converse and share insights on this significant issue relevant to all Western Balkan nations,” the announcement explained.

“This event convened key European and regional leaders, spearheaded by EPP President Manfred Weber, reaffirming the importance of the European perspective for Montenegro and the Western Balkans. The Bosniak Party will persist in promoting European values not only in Montenegro but across the Western Balkans, by enhancing institutional cooperation, engaging in dialogue with European partners, and actively participating in shaping policies towards full EU membership,” BS remarked.

“This gathering reiterated that Montenegro remains a focal point for European conservative entities and that the EPP’s commitment to the European integration of the Western Balkans is steadfast and unquestionable,” it added.
