By endorsing the joint Declaration and recommendations to the Stabilization and Association Council, the members of the European Parliament and the Parliament of Montenegro affirmed our nation’s position as a frontrunner in the European integration process, stated Vlade Bojović, the executive director and member of the Presidency of the Europe Now Movement (PES).
Bojović highlighted that the document acknowledged the substantial progress achieved in 2024, which includes the provisional closure of three negotiation chapters.
“As the predominant party in the parliamentary majority, we take pride in our parliamentary group, which, through its dedicated efforts in Parliament, is making pivotal decisions for Montenegro’s European future. Furthermore, the reform initiatives of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Dr. Filip Ivanović, and the commitment of Minister Maida Gorčević are producing tangible results that are steering us closer to the EU,” Bojović announced in a press statement.
He added that they are consistently overcoming the opposition’s skepticism and demonstrating that European integration is more than just a narrative, but a genuine process they are pursuing with responsibility and determination.
“The clear support from the EU serves as an added motivation to accelerate the reform agenda and Montenegro’s path toward Europe,” Bojović concluded.
