A number of Montenegrin volleyball athletes enjoyed a productive weekend, particularly Vojin Ćaćić, who clinched the Ukrainian championship title with Epicenter. Đorđe Jovović and Jovan Delić excelled as key scorers, while Matija Ćinćur contributed to the Alpacema team, which reached the finals of the Slovenian championship for the first time in nine years.

The Ukrainian Epicenter concluded the season undefeated, securing the national championship. In the playoff finals, Vojin Ćaćić’s squad triumphed over Žitči in a three-match series. He scored 10 and 13 points in the first two games, respectively, and participated in the third match, which went the distance, playing just in the third set.

In Romania, Craiova wrapped up the season successfully, taking home third place. In the second game against Zalau, which they won 3:0, Montenegrin point guard Bojan Strugar tallied 19 points and was one of the standout players, boasting an impressive 75% success rate in attacks.

A significant milestone for Alpacem Kanal, who made it to their first Slovenian championship final after a nine-year wait by defeating Kalcit Kamnik 3:1 in the playoff semifinals. In their second victory against a major rival, our middle blocker Matija Ćinćur contributed six points. Alpacem will face off against the top Slovenian team, ACH Ljubljana, for the title.

Meanwhile, Mladost from Zagreb, supported by national team players Đorđe Jovović and Nikola Đurović, also reached the finals. They defeated Centrometal away 3:1, with our corrector delivering an impressive 20 points, while the young middle blocker finished the match without scoring. Mladost’s opponent in the final series will be Mursa, who eliminated our Vukašin Cimbaljević’s team by winning 3:0 against Ribola Kaštela in the semifinals. In the second match of the series, Cimbaljević recorded six points.

In another regional competition, the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina has commenced its finals series. Domaljevac was narrowly beaten by Napredak at home, losing 3:2 despite a strong performance from our volleyball player Jovan Delić, who scored 26 points.

Czech Usti, after a less-than-stellar league season, managed to maintain their position in the top tier of Czech volleyball. Blaž Milić and Nemanja Peruničić’s team triumphed over Dobričovice in the third playoff match, losing only one set. Peruničić contributed three points, while Milić was absent from the last match of the season.

Crvena zvezda, under the leadership of Montenegro coach Ivica Jevtić, fell short in the semifinals of the Serbian Super League against Vojvodina. They lost the second away match 3:2 (25:20, 23:25, 25:23, 25:21, 19:17), which means the top team from the regular season will compete in the finals against Radnički, who won their series against Dubočica.

The Qatar Sports volleyball team, coached by our very own Darko Prebiracevic, was halted in the semifinals of the local Cup, succumbing to one of the tournament favorites, Al Rayyan, with a tight score of 3:2.

In the Amir Cup, Al Sad, guided by our coach Marko Joksimović, lost to Al Arabi 3:0, with the Montenegrin volleyball player contributing two points to his team’s efforts.
