Primorac Clinches Premier League Spot Despite Setback in Valjevo
Primorac has made its return to the regional elite, despite suffering a defeat against Valis in Valjevo during the second-to-last round of the mini league.
The Kotor team lost 14:12, but shortly after, they received encouraging news from Belgrade where Korčula prevented Vukov from earning a point (losing by five), which was sufficient for our team’s advancement to the Premier League.
Under the guidance of Vjekoslav Pasković, the team has accumulated 12 points before the season concludes (they will face Vukovo away on Sunday), which is three points ahead of Valis, thanks to a better head-to-head record.
The Wolves sit at eight points and will contend with Valis for a spot in the play-off for the Premier League.
This evening, Primorac held their ground until the end of the second quarter, but the home team gained a three-goal lead for the first time at the start of the third period, establishing an 8:5 advantage.
There were moments when the goal difference extended to four on two occasions: 10:6 and 12:8…
Đorđije Stanojević led Primorac with four goals, while Dragoljub Rogač and Petar Kasum matched this performance for Valis.
Primorac will face Vukovo on Sunday at 19:45.
