A Ukrainian national, referred to as DD (42), was apprehended at the Debeli Brijeg border crossing under the suspicion of possessing a counterfeit driver’s license.
While departing Montenegro, officers from the Herceg Novi Border Police, in collaboration with Frontex agents, conducted a check on DD and the vehicle he was operating.
“Upon inspecting the personal documents provided by DD, the police and Frontex personnel raised concerns regarding the authenticity of the Ukrainian driver’s license due to noticeable discrepancies and irregularities in its production. It was likely a complete reproduction of the original document. Following the directive of the acting prosecutor, DD was detained under suspicion of committing the offense of document forgery,” stated the Police Directorate.
