The Lionesses to Discover Their European Championship Rivals Tomorrow in Vienna
The Montenegro women’s handball team will face their group opponents at the European Championship set to take place from November 28 to December 15 across Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland, as announced by the Handball Association.
The draw is scheduled to occur in Vienna at 6 PM.
Montenegro will be placed in the first hat due to their impressive performance during the qualifiers and their recent bronze medal at the last European Championship.
It is confirmed that the Montenegrin national team will be part of group B in Debrecen, and the draw will establish the structure of six groups, each comprising four teams.
EHF Euro 2024 marks the inaugural championship featuring 24 national teams, an increase from the previous 16.
The first hat includes Montenegro, along with: Norway, Denmark, France, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
In the second hat: Germany, Spain, Romania, Hungary, Switzerland, and Austria.
The third hat consists of Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Iceland.
Finally, the fourth hat will contribute teams including: Czech Republic, Ukraine, Turkey, Faroe Islands, Portugal, and Slovakia.
The initial phase of the championship will take place in Debrecen, Basel, and Innsbruck.
Debrecen and Vienna will host the main round, while the final round is set to be held in the capital of Austria, Vienna.
