Šola Reveals Play-Off Roster for Match Against Italy

The head coach of Montenegro’s men’s handball team, Vlado Šola, has announced the roster of 18 players for the upcoming World Championship play-offs.

The “Lions” will be facing Italy in the play-off round, with the first match scheduled for May 9 in Conversano at 20:00. The second match will take place three days later at “Morača” at 17:30.

The core of the team consists of players who participated in the recent significant event – the EHF Euro 2024 held in Germany in January. Additionally, Filip Krivokapić and Milorad Bakić could earn their first caps in official matches, having previously played in friendly games against Georgia in Podgorica.

In the upcoming play-off against Italy, Montenegro aims to qualify for the World Championship for the second consecutive time and the third time overall, following their appearances in 2013 and 2023.

Wings: Miloš Vujović, Aleksandar Bakić, Mirko Radović, and Luka Radović;
Pivots: Vuk Lazović, Nemanja Grbović, and Miodrag Ćorsović;
Backs: Arsenije Dragašević, Milorad Bakić, Vuko Borozan, Vasilije Kaluđerović, Radojica Čepić, Filip Krivokapić, Branko Vujović, and Stefan Čavor.
