Katarina Budrak Shines in Bordeaux Jersey as Saška Đurović Aims to Regain Winning Momentum

Last weekend, among the Montenegrin volleyball players competing internationally, Katarina Budrak particularly distinguished herself with a commendable performance in the Bordeaux jersey, despite not securing more than a single set against the reigning champion Levalios Paris.
The middle blocker successfully earned 10 points during the away match and will aim to extend her momentum and chase a surprise victory at home on Friday.
In Portugal’s league, Sporting’s Saška Đurović faced an unexpected 3:0 defeat against Braga, and in just two days, they will be looking to bounce back and continue their pursuit of the finals. In the second match of the semi-final series, contested in a best-of-three format, our middle blocker managed to score six points.
The Montenegrin athletes participating in the Serbian Super League have completed their season. Jedinstvo from Stara Pazova, under the guidance of senior team coach Jovo Caković, experienced a defeat against Uba with a score of 3:0, which prevented them from proceeding to the championship semifinals. In the third match of the series, our young middle blocker Staša Mitrović managed to score one point, while Lara Jovović did not play in Srem’s 3:0 loss to Red Star, thereby concluding their journey after three games in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
The Mladost volleyball team continues to assert its dominance in the Croatian Super League. In the first match of the playoff semifinals, they triumphed over Brda with a score of 3:0, with our Simona Petranović participating in two sets and earning one point.
Teodora Rakočević had a more impactful individual game, although her team could not advance to the final of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, losing to their city rival Borac 3:1 in two matches. Our middle blocker contributed eight points in the second game of the playoff semifinals.
