Ivan Pavićević and Miloš Ražnatović to Officiate at the Paris Olympic Games
Ivan Pavićević and Miloš Ražnatović, the Montenegrin duo of referees, have been appointed to officiate the handball tournament at the Olympic Games in Paris, as announced by the Handball Association.
This marks the first time that Montenegrin handball referees will be officiating at the Olympic Games.
According to reports, Pavićević and Ražnatović have earned the confidence of the International Handball Federation (IHF) and will be among the 16 referee pairs at this prestigious global sporting event.
“The outstanding Montenegrin referees, who have been part of the elite for many years, will experience their inaugural Olympic Games where they will oversee matches in both tournaments featuring 12 national teams,” stated the Handball Association.
Being nominated for the Olympic Games is a pinnacle achievement in the careers of Pavićević and Ražnatović, who have already officiated ten major senior competitions—five world championships and four European and Asian championships.
During the previous EHF Euro 2024 in Germany, they officiated the bronze medal match between Sweden and Germany, which was also a qualifier for the Olympic Games.
Recently, the EHF confirmed that Pavićević and Ražnatović will also officiate the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain on May 2 at “Palau Blaugrana”.
