Montenegrin Cadets Celebrate Second Victory
The Montenegrin cadet handball team triumphed over Tunisia today with a score of 20:19 (4:7, 8:8, and 8:4) in the third round of the Mediterranean Championship held in Ankara.
This marks the second victory for the Montenegrin cadets at the tournament, following their win against France yesterday.
However, they did face a setback in their opening match against Kosovo.
The Montenegrin handball squad earned 3.5 out of a possible five points for their win against Tunisia.
Filip Božović emerged as the standout player for the national team, netting five goals, while Miroslav Dragojević contributed four goals. Vuk Lalošević and Mojaš Nikolić each added three goals to the tally.
On Wednesday, Montenegro is set to compete in two matches – the first against Croatia at 8:00 AM, followed by a matchup against Iraq at 4:15 PM.
For the team, coached by Filip Popović and Draško Mrvaljević, participating in the Mediterranean Championship serves as a vital preparation for the upcoming European Championship for players under 18, slated for August in Podgorica.
