Antoine Griezmann is set to transfer to Los Angeles a year prior to the expiration of his contract with Atletico. The talented French forward will meet with the “Colchoneros” management by the end of March to discuss his future as a world champion.

Griezmann’s desire to join the MLS league is motivated by family considerations, and discussions with Los Angeles, where fellow players Olivier Giroud and Hugo Lloris are based, are reportedly well advanced, according to Relevo.

Although the 33-year-old forward is contracted until the summer of 2026, Atletico will not put up obstacles due to the strong trust that exists between the club and the player.

Nonetheless, Griezmann remains a valuable asset for Atletico in their pursuit of the title in Spain, having scored eight goals and provided five assists in 27 La Liga matches this season.
