DPM Aleksić Leads Meeting to Enhance University-Industry Collaboration
The Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Science, and Relations with Religious Communities, Budimir Aleksić, convened a meeting with the Vice-Rector of the University of Montenegro, Veselin Mićanović, along with Miroslav Bojović, Bojan Pejović, and Maksim Vučinić, who is the President of the Board of Directors of COTEE (Montenegrin Electricity Market Operator).
The discussion centered around initiatives to strengthen collaboration between the University and the business sector, particularly through the involvement of academic personnel in cooperative projects with the staff of this energy organization. The objective is to enhance current activities and establish new avenues for partnership.
Successful models from various regions in Europe and globally demonstrate the importance of such collaborations. As Montenegro has recently undergone an economic transformation, it is quickly and efficiently adapting to the requirements of the new era, especially regarding energy transition.
The participants acknowledged that the ongoing advancement of technologies and their market implications are highly fluid and should be monitored closely to guarantee economic sustainability. They recognized that advancing this initiative through tangible projects is a matter of public interest for the country, aimed at proactively tackling emerging challenges and opportunities.
