Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti hailed the Declaration on a Military Alliance between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia, signed today in Tirana, as a critically significant move for security, extending his congratulations to all signatories.
The memorandum’s objective is to enhance collaboration in developing defense capabilities and the defense industry, boost interoperability through training, education, and exercises, counter hybrid threats, and fortify strategic resilience, thus fully supporting Euro-Atlantic and regional defense integration.
In a Facebook post, Kurti stated: “Congratulations to everyone! This is an extremely important stride toward security and peace in the region, achieved through defense, cooperation, and coordination among our peace-loving nations, marked by the trilateral military alliance declaration signed today in Tirana by our Minister of Defense (Kosovo) Ejup Macedonci, Albania’s Minister of Defense Piro Vengu, and Croatia’s Minister of Defense Ivan Anušić.”
The document outlines cooperation in defense, joint military operations, and collaborative training.
Minister Macedonci remarked, “This collaboration is not intended to threaten anyone; it sends a message to those who might seek to jeopardize the region, demonstrating our unity and determination not to allow anyone to destabilize it.”
“I express my gratitude to the Ministers of Albania and Croatia for this initiative, as I value this agreement as the first trilateral framework in the region,” he noted.
