Police Conduct Search of Predrag Knežević’s Residence in Plav

Today, officers from the Regional Police Center “North” conducted searches at the residence of Predrag Knežević, also known as Škuri, in Plav. According to police reports, he is a prominent member of the Kavač clan.
In connection with this operation, several other homes were searched, which the police state are linked to individuals of operational interest.
Just yesterday, the police searched the family home and associated outbuildings belonging to RT (53), who is alleged to have connections with Knežević, according to security sector claims.
During the search, authorities reported the discovery and seizure of a semi-automatic Red Flag rifle, a Blow brand starter pistol, and an air rifle of unknown make. The individual did not have the required documentation for these items, as stated by the Police Directorate yesterday.
They emphasized that the on-duty prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Plav was informed of these developments:
“RT was detained by order of the prosecutor on a criminal complaint for suspicion of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.”
Knežević was apprehended in Bulgaria in September 2018, following an Interpol arrest warrant issued by Podgorica.
The local police reported that during his evasion, Knežević had utilized several false documents and was finally captured after extensive and coordinated efforts with international partners, particularly the police forces of France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, and Bulgaria.
