Montenegrin Family in Berlin Donates 290 Food Packages to Community for Ramadan
A family of Montenegrin origin residing in Berlin, recognized for their charitable contributions, has donated 290 food packages to the residents of BIJELO POLJE in celebration of Ramadan.
The donation was officially received by Aldin Pilavac, the coordinator of the non-governmental organization (NGO) “Pomozi.” He expressed gratitude towards the family and the Mayor of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, Petar Smolović, who facilitated the donation.
“The packages will be distributed over the next few days. In addition to essential items, a sack of flour will also be included,” Pilavac stated.
This Montenegrin family from Berlin has extended their support to the Islamic Community in Montenegro during Ramadan. Their contribution, as they previously indicated, aims to assist families in need and was organized at the suggestion of the President of the Municipality of Bar, Dušan Raičević, who worked with the leaders of the municipalities of Plav, Bijelo Polje, and Petnjica—Nihad Canović, Petar Smolović, and Samir Agović. This initiative is focused on providing basic support to the most vulnerable families throughout Ramadan.
The local authorities and the Montenegrin family from Berlin expressed their desire to ensure that all Islamic believers in these municipalities experience joy and a sense of security during the fasting month, thereby fostering community and solidarity.
