Zeren Group has once again filed a request with the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) to establish a bank in the country, as confirmed to “Vijesti” by this Turkish group.
The initial request was submitted on March 15th of last year but was temporarily retracted in September because the Central Bank required additional documentation. As previously mentioned by this group, they needed to provide consolidated financial statements prepared by one of the four largest auditing firms.
“Zeren Group has officially re-submitted its application to establish a bank in Montenegro, underlining its long-term commitment to investments and ongoing projects in the region. The application process complied fully with regulatory requirements and was supported by one of the four largest global audit firms. We believe that our bank, as a highly digitized financial entity focused on serving citizens and the economy, will greatly enhance the stability of the banking sector and bring about long-term positive impacts on the Montenegrin economy, particularly in supporting local businesses,” stated the Zeren Group.
They emphasized their standing as an international organization with 50 years of experience, active across four continents, in six countries, and eight diverse industries.
Currently, there are 11 banks operating in Montenegro.
