Luka Bar Takes Commanding Lead in Series Against Buducnost
The Luka Bar volleyball team secured a significant victory against Budućnost Volej team.
They triumphed with a score of 3:0 (28:26, 25:23, 25:21), taking the lead in the semi-final series of the EPCG Super League playoffs.
The “Sirens” utilized their home advantage at the beginning of the series, but the team from Podgorica proved to be a formidable competitor, not allowing any set to be easily won.
During the initial set, Luka Bar showcased dominance, claiming six set points and establishing a 24:18 lead.
Nevertheless, Luka Bogojević’s squad fought back with an impressive streak, leveling the score at 24:24 and even taking a 25:24 lead. After a fierce battle, the home team ultimately clinched the set with a score of 28:26.
Buducnost held the upper hand for much of the second set (19:14) and even had a shot to level the score at 22:19. However, the turning point came thanks to Dušanka Petrović and her teammates, who shifted the momentum in their favor to secure a 2:0 set lead.
The third set saw the Bar team take an early lead, which they successfully maintained until the end, finishing with a score of 25:21 and achieving a 3:0 victory overall.
The standout player in the match was Buducnost’s captain Mileva Magdalinić, who scored 15 points, followed by Milena Ćetković with 11 points and Lana Rakočević with 9 points. On the winning side, Dijana Vuković led with 14 points, while both Teodora Čavić and Aieska Ferreira contributed with 11 points each.
In the second semi-final match, Herceg Novi will face Albatros in their first game in Igalo on Monday at 20:00.
