Honoring the Innocent Victims and the Courageous Defenders of Our Shared State

Today, alongside Deputy Prime Minister Milun Zogović, the Speaker of the Parliament, Andrija Mandić, honored the memories of “the heroes who bravely defended the skies, land, and sea of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia 26 years ago, as well as the innocent civilian casualties of that conflict,” by laying wreaths at the Masline barracks.
The wreaths were dedicated to the ‘Heroes of our country,’ with President Mandić stressing the importance of remembering these courageous individuals who, driven by deep patriotism and love for their homeland, stood steadfast in defense of their common state and made the ultimate sacrifice, including their own lives,” as stated by the office of the head of parliament.
Later today, Mandić and Zogović laid wreaths at the Danilovgrad barracks, commemorating “the innocent victims and our heroes who protected the skies and borders of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia 26 years ago.”
President Mandić also honored the memory of Saša Stajić, the first victim of the NATO bombing, along with all the heroes who sacrificed their lives defending our shared homeland, paying homage to all innocent civilian victims,” his office reported.
