Jonuc Popa, the president of Dinamo Bucharest, recently stated, “If we receive a wild card from the EHF for next season’s Champions League, we will compete in the final four.”
Popa’s optimism stems from significant reinforcements arriving in Romania’s capital for the upcoming season, with Montenegrin handball player Branko Vujović being a notable addition, officially joining Dinamo today.
The right back of the “lions” has signed a contract with the club until 2027. His acquisition aligns with the wishes of legendary coach Xavi Pasquale, who recruited him from the Bundesliga team Hanover.
“Branko will be instrumental in helping us achieve our objectives in the coming seasons,” stated David Barufet, the sports director of Dinamo.
The esteemed Spanish goalkeeper further remarked, “His addition will bolster the right back position and represent a significant advancement for the team. With him, we will enhance our quality, as he is a highly talented player with vast experience,” Barufet shared with “Pro sport”.
Prior to Vujović’s signing, the Bucharest club had already secured Hanijel Langar from Barcelona for the next season, and Luka Cindrić, Ali Zaein, and Vladimir Cupara are already part of the Dinamo roster.
