Montenegro Backs Armenia’s Reform Initiatives and European Journey
Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović held a meeting today with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to explore important political and economic matters, especially emphasizing reform processes and Armenia’s European aspirations.
Prime Minister Pashinyan reaffirmed Armenia’s dedication to its European trajectory and reform agenda, while expressing a keen interest in learning from Montenegro’s experiences. Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović updated Prime Minister Pashinyan on Montenegro’s significant advancements in its European integration efforts, highlighting that the near future would be marked by important milestones, including an Intergovernmental Conference with the European Union that is anticipated to ratify Montenegro’s new accomplishments.
Prime Minister Pashinyan recognized Montenegro’s advancements and remarked that its eventual EU membership would contribute to regional stability. Ivanović praised Armenia’s ongoing efforts and progress on its European journey, conveying Montenegro’s willingness to share its negotiation insights and experiences.
Beyond discussions on bilateral cooperation, Ivanović and Pashinyan shared their perspectives on global events and regional challenges. The two leaders concurred that this visit would enhance the partnership and unveil new opportunities for collaborative efforts.
