Montenegro Advances to the Quarter-Finals of the World Cup

The U16 water polo team from Montenegro has successfully advanced to the quarter-finals of the World Championship taking place in Malta.

Nenad Vukanić’s squad secured their fourth win by defeating Australia with a score of 8:5 in the round of 16.

The team, which earned European silver in Podgorica last year, will compete against Greece on Saturday at 19:30 for a spot in the semi-finals.

With goals from Stefan Vraneš, Pavle Dabić, and Danilo Roganović, Montenegro established an early lead of 3:0 after just eight minutes of play.

The score later shifted to 3:2 and then 4:3, followed by a decisive 3:0 run that made it 7:3, putting the match out of reach…

Roganović stood out as the top scorer with three goals, while Dabić contributed two, and Vraneš, Andrej Durutović, and Marko Milinić each added one goal.
